Part-Time Teacher Trainer (Observer) Job Opening

Ninja Teacher TEFL Academy is looking for a passionate educator to join our team as a part-time Teacher Trainer (Observer) for our classroom-based TEFL courses in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This role involves observing and evaluating TEFL course trainees during their practicum teaching classes:

- 2-hour observation sessions that include observing a teacher trainee’s class, updating an evaluation rubric, and giving written and verbal feedback.

- Observation sessions typically fall on weekday evenings between 5pm and 9pm.

- Workload will be approximately one to three 2-hour sessions per course, determined by scheduling needs (there are nine 4-week courses run per year).

You’ll learn from, and work closely with, our highly qualified and experienced teacher training team, including our Head Trainer with a M.Ed in Professional Development for Language Education, Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge DELTA, and is a qualified CELTA Tutor, with 17 years of experience as an ESL educator.

Our ideal candidate:

- Has 3+ years ELT experience with a range of ages.

- Holds a Bachelor’s degree and initial teaching qualification (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA).

- Has obtained further relevant qualifications, e.g. DELTA, DipTESOL, MA TESOL etc.

- Has previous teacher training or academic management experience.

- Has the confidence and aptitude to work with adult TEFL course participants.

- Is encouraging and patient with new TEFL trainee teachers.

- Is excited about giving people the opportunity to start a new career abroad, instilling a passion for teaching in them, and help them transition into life in Vietnam.
