Thailand Removes Quarantine On Arrival For Vaccinated Travelers From 46 Countries

Last week, Thailand made the executive decision to reduce their quarantine-on-arrival from 14 days down to 7 days (including the Phuket Sandbox model).

This dropped the overall entry cost for visa, quarantine, COVID tests, and so on to as low as $700, making it one of the cheapest options in Asia for getting started during these current times.

However, this week, even more exciting news has been announced!
Vaccinated travelers coming from 46 countries are now no longer required to quarantine upon arrival in Thailand. A negative COVID test is required before the flight and upon arrival, and once results come back from that test, the individual is free to move around the country.

The countries are New Zealand, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US and Hong Kong.

This is huge news, and it seems that Thailand is intent on expanding upon this list of countries over time to make entry more accessible.
Thus, as of now, teachers coming from the above-listed countries do not have to worry about quarantine costs upon arrival, and anyone coming from other locations only need to quarantine for 7 days (and may be eligible for the Phuket Sandbox ‘quarantine’ in which you can move freely about the island during your quarantine time).
