Vietnam Agrees To Fully Reopen For Tourism on 15th March!

The Vietnam government has agreed to the proposal to fully reopen for tourism on the 15th March 2022!

The government has further directed the Ministry of Tourism to finalize the details of the policy and visas being issued.

What does this mean? Here’s a video explaining and we’ve included further details below:

Here’s what we know:

1. The government has officially agreed to this date (the signed and red stamped document has been released).

2. New visas are to be issued again! Details are expected to be available soon but haven’t been finalized.

3. Relaxed entry requirements – they’re scrapping the required package tours and expert approval process finally!

Entry requirements include:

– RT-PCR test 72 hours (or 24 hours for rapid test) before arrival.

– Fully vaccinated or recovered.

– COVID health insurance (expected to cost about $30).

– Isolate for 24 hours on arrival (in your own accommodation), take a test, then be able to freely move around the country for the duration of your visa.

Note that this is the government officially agreeing to the Ministry of Tourism’s proposal, and not the final policy.
However, it looks as though the 15th March 2022 date is very likely to be it!

This reopening will allow those of you that want to teach English in Vietnam to move here and secure employment.

We expect to hear more news about visas and the final details in the coming days and will let you know.

We don’t recommend booking flights until the final policy has been released.

Once we have details of visas we plan to finalize our in-country TEFL course and job placement program dates and reopen enrollment!

In the meantime, you can consider taking our Online TEFL Course right now and have your TEFL certificate ready to get a job in Vietnam when the borders open! You can also upgrade from it to our in-country programs at discounted rates so it’s a good place to start.
