Vietnam Removes ALL Entry Requirements | OFFICIAL Travel Update

Good news! As of 15th May 2022 Vietnam no longer requires a PCR or rapid test before your flight.

This means there are no longer any added entry requirements other than a visa!

Note: double check with your airline to see if they require a test because if you are transiting through a country that requires it (or the airline has it’s own policies) you WILL need a test pre-departure.

Also, we’ve heard of some people being asked by airlines to show insurance that covers COVID. Many people are not being asked for it (I flew from Cambodia a couple weeks ago and was not asked). Either way, you really shouldn’t be traveling abroad without insurance, so make sure you’re covered. Here’s our recommendation for insurance which covers COVID and offers a monthly payment plan.

It’s always a good idea to do your own research and check with your airline, but from our understanding of policies there are no other requirements other than a flight and visa right now, so a great step towards easier travel!

As for visas, Vietnam is issuing 30 day tourist e-visas to 80 nationalities through the official government website.
